Specialized Women's Road Ride with Wheelworks

Specialized Women's Ambassador, Rachele Pojednic (on the right).

Women's Leading Lady Road Ride with Specialized and Wheelworks!

A Leading Lady inspires others to ride—are you ready to show us how you shine? The Leading Ladies Ride Series challenges you to find someone you’ve never ridden with before—your mom, sister, best gal pal, whomever—and bring them along to ride with us.

Lead the way. Invite someone to the ride and get psyched for good vibes, good company, and yes, a special gift as a thank you for helping us get more women on bikes.

What to expect - A 33 mile ride at a friendly pace (14-16mph) on mostly back roads.  This is a non-competitive group ride and no one will be left behind. The ride will begin from Belmont Wheelworks promply at 8:30am.

Requirements -  Helmets & road worthy bikes in good working condition. *Sorry guys, this is a women's only ride!

Technical Support -  We will have mechanics at the shop on Sunday Morning before the ride starting at 8:45am and all the free air you can fit in your tires!

Suggestions -  Please have bikes in good working condition prior to the ride. Please check the weather and dress appropriately. Don't forget to fill your water bottles and pack a Clif Bar or two.

Route: Head out from Belmont Wheelworks on Rt 60 straight to Minute Man Trail, follows to Bedford, loop through Concord Center and retrace.

Rachele Pojednic Bio - Rachele is a Specialized Women's Cycling Ambassador as well as a premier indoor cycling instructor at Flywheel Boston. She is passionate about the incredible physical and mental benefits of movement, and is a professor and researcher of exercise and nutrition at Simmons College and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School.
