North of Boston, in the county now known as Essex, Chebacco Parish was one of the earliest European settlements in the mid-1600s. Today, centuries-old roads, paths and trails make it a perfect place for adventurous rides—if you have the right bike. Parlee's Chebacco is at home wherever roads can get rough and rides turn into adventures—gravel grinding, cyclocross racing, tackling a commute in the urban jungle. With disc brakes, wide tire clearance (up to 40mm) and hidden fender mounts front and rear, this carbon frame lets you expand your riding possibilities without sacrificing lightweight performance and ride quality. The frame is handcrafted with purpose-built features and geometry including wide chain- and seatstays, a bottom bracket that is slightly lower than traditional cyclocross bikes, and a slacker head tube angle. This gives the Chebacco a smooth, stable ride at speed, especially when you’re pounding through gravel, dirt or variable road surfaces. The fork accepts a 15mm thru-axle and the rear dropouts are modular—compatible with either thru-axle or QR. DT Swiss wheels are lightweight and hold up to rough roads, while the Shimano Ultegra drivetrain gives you day-in-day-out performance you don't have to think about. Matching Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes ensure smooth modulation, and the Zipp and Fizik cockpit keep you comfortable in spite of the washboards and ruts.
